Lapse of Reason is a Hamilton, New Zealand based covers band playing weddings, functions, birthdays, conferences, hotels, pubs and clubs in the central North Island.

We cater to many different audiences and with a large selection of songs, both old and new and in-between we make sure the audience has a great time!

We're available to play for:

Local taverns and pubs
Chartered Clubs
Birthday Parties (21st, 30th, 40th etc)
Anniversary Parties
Corporate Events
Weddings
Private functions of any type!

Our style of music and performance is quite unique. Depending on what your event is about, or what type of folks will be there, we are able to modify our songlist to suit.

We also offer acoustic 2-piece and 3-piece and solo guitar!

We make sure your wedding day is extra special !!!

Set up during the afternoon so as not to interfere lugging equipment around while you are all having a meal
Classical / Jazz guitar played at the ceremony or during dinner/drinks
We're happy to meet up prior and coordinate things and/or learn a couple of specific songs if you would like a certain dance, or a classical rendition of the "up the aisle" number.
We offer a complete music solution for the entire day, including background music, solo guitar and 2, 3 or 4 piece acoustic in addition to the complete band!

10 Reasons to Choose LAPSE OF REASON

With lots of bands and acts of all different types around, the choice for your venue or event can be difficult - here's 10 reasons that might help you...

Volume. Up or down - your choice! Our system has a fat, crisp sound, with or without the volume.
Stage effects. We have a fog machine, two sound-modulated laser units, a strobe light, a sound-modulated multi-coloured spotlight and several spotlights of various colours and sizes.
Lots of old and new songs - we have a large playlist. You'll know them all.
No ego's - we're just four guys out having fun and playing music.
$$$ We're not gonna try and rip you off - we keep our rates reasonable and fair.
Experience. We've been doing this a while, lots of gigs all over the place. We just set up and entertain, no mucking around. See the giglist
Travel. We don't mind traveling within a 3 hour radius from Hamilton.
Setup. We setup and breakdown our systems in an average of 45 minutes (including audio and visual effects) - we keep it professional at all times.
