Welcome to LAPSE OF REASON

Lapse of Reason is a Hamilton covers band playing weddings, functions, conferences, hotels, and bars in the central North Island.

We cater to many different audiences and with a large selection of songs, both old and new and in-between we make sure the audience has a great time!

We're available to play for:

Local taverns and pubs
Chartered Clubs
Birthday Parties (21st, 30th, 40th etc)
Anniversary Parties
Corporate Events
Weddings
Private functions of any type!

Our style of music and performance is quite unique. Depending on what your event is about, or what type of folks will be there, we are able to modify our songlist to suit.

We also offer acoustic 2-piece and 3-piece and solo guitar!

We make sure your wedding day is extra special !!!

Set up during the afternoon so as not to interfere lugging equipment around while you are all having a meal
Classical / Jazz guitar played at the ceremony or during dinner/drinks
We're happy to meet up prior and coordinate things and/or learn a couple of specific songs if you would like a certain dance, or a classical rendition of the "up the aisle" number.
We offer a complete music solution for the entire day, including background music, Solo guitar , 2 or 3 piece acoustic in addition to the complete band!

Right from our initial enquiry you were very helpful and friendly.
We were truly grateful that you travelled from Hamilton to Whitianga for the occasion.

All of the guys in the band seemed really nice and were very talented and professional.

From your performances it is quite evident that you do it for the love of it and not for the money.

I am gutted that we were away getting our bridal party photos done and missed your acoustic set but by all accounts from those there this added an great vibe to the reception.

It was awesome that you played a range of music from different eras which managed to get most people up dancing. We received many compliments from our guests about your performance...we had one guest tell us during your set that "Right Now this is the Best Band in the World!! and we even had one guest who tried to play air guitar with the band!!

Following the wedding we received an enquiry from the owner of the reception venue asking who the band was as he had received compliments from his staff. I am happy to provide you with his details if you would like to follow this enquiry up as he also owns the adjoining bar and regularly has live bands playing there.

We wish Lapse of Reason the very best for their future endeavours and hopefully someday we will have the privilege of attending another wedding where you are performing. And hey.. if you are still playing in 25 years time we may even get you to play at our silver wedding anniversary!!
